Sesame Street Live! Say Hello will delight at the Sioux City Orpheum this April

Get ready to join your favorite Sesame Street characters for a spectacular afternoon in downtown Sioux City! For more than half a century, Sesame Street has been delighting kids with entertaining and educational shows, first on TV starting in 1967, and on the live stage starting in 1980. 

Thanks to Skopos Productions, who is sponsoring this post, I have all the details for you about the latest iteration of Sesame Street Live and how you can catch it this April in Sioux City.

The newest live stage Sesame Street show is Sesame Street Live! Say Hello, starring Elmo, Abby, and Cookie Monster. It's coming to Sioux City in April 2025 to entertain the next generation of Sesame Street fans, and it's sure to be a big hit with its young audience. Here's what you should know about Sesame Street Live! Say Hello and about the Sioux City performance:

What is Sesame Street Live! Say Hello?

Sesame Street Live! Say Hello is a live stage production starring classic Sesame Street characters like Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster, and more. The show is designed to be especially engaging for most kids ages 1-7, and Sesame Street fans of any age are welcome to attend. This is a mascot-style performance not a puppetry performance.

When will Sesame Street Live! Say Hello be in Sioux City?

Saturday, April 19th, 2025 (this is the day before Easter), at 2pm. Doors open for the show at 1pm, and the show itself runs about an hour and 20 minutes, including a 20-minute intermission about halfway through. 

Pricing for Sesame Street Live! Say Hello in Sioux City

The Orpheum and the shows they host do such a good job of offering a range of price options. There are tickets starting at $27 for this show, and there are really no bad seats at the Orpheum. You can make a magical memory with your child for about $50, or just over $100 for a family of four. Or you can make it more of a luxury experience, but even the best box seats are just under $75!

There will also be a special VIP photo experience after the show for about $50 per person, so be sure to add that on to your tickets if you are interested in taking a picture with some of your favorite characters. We got to do the photo experience when we went to see another kids' show at the Sioux City Orpheum more than a year ago, and my kids still talk about getting to actually meet and take a picture with the star of that show. If your kids love Sesame Street characters, this is something they truly are going to remember for a long time. The photo experience shows up as an add-on during the checkout process on the Ticketmaster site. 

Where will Sesame Street Live! Say Hello be performed in Sioux City?

The Sioux City performance of Sesame Street Live! Say Hello will be at the Sioux City Orpheum Theatre, located at 528 Pierce Street in downtown Sioux City, Iowa. There is metered street parking on the Orpheum block and other nearby blocks, which is FREE on weekends like the day when Sesame Street Live! Say Hello will be in Sioux City. There are also several nearby parking garages.

Getting ready to watch Sesame Street Live! Say Hello

All you really need to do to be ready to see Sesame Street Live! Say Hello is to buy your tickets and show up on the 19th! But if you want to do some extra fun stuff to get ready, here are some ideas. You could:

• Watch Sesame Street on PBS Kids on tv or online (my kids love the PBS Kids app on their tablets)
• Color a Sesame Street coloring sheet like one of the free printables on the official Sesame Street website
• Choose an outfit inspired by or featuring your favorite Sesame Street character
• Eat some cookies (maybe chocolate chip) in anticipation of singing about them during the show
