Chris and Martin Kratt are bringing Wild Kratts Live to Sioux City in May 2025!

The Orpheum is known for hosting high quality live entertainment for all ages, including kids shows. We've seen great shows like Baby Shark's Big Broadwave Tour, Nick Jr. Live, and Disney Princess: the Concert at the Orpheum over the years and every time, these live shows end up providing great entertainment that really captivates the young audience they're there for.

And I'm especially excited about the latest show they announced: Wild Kratts Live 2.0: Activating Creature Powers! I'm a huge fan of the Kratt brothers, and I know other local families are too. So here's what Sioux City and Siouxland families should know about this great show:

What is Wild Kratts Live 2.0: Activating Creature Powers?

Wild Kratts Live 2.0: Activating Creature Powers is a brand-new stage production from Chris and Martin Kratt. This pair of real-life brothers has been entertaining kids with knowledge and fun about animals for decades with PBS shows including Zooboomafoo, Kratt's Kreatures, and Wild Kratts. This stage production builds on the animated show Wild Kratts, in which the brothers Kratt have "creature power suits" that allow them to assume powers of wild creatures, like cheetah speed or the ability to breathe underwater with a shark creature power disc. One of my sister-in-laws saw their first Wild Kratts Live stage show in the twin cities, and my little nephews loved it so much. I'm so happy that Sioux City is on the list for this new 2.0 version of their live show and I think it is going to be a can't-miss event for fans of the Wild Kratts.


How to see Wild Kratts Live 2.0: Activating Creature Powers in Sioux City

Wild Kratts Live 2.0: Activating Creature Powers will be at the Sioux City Orpheum on May 30th, 2025 at 6:30pm. Tickets start at $28 and go on sale starting September 27th, 2024 at the Orpheum box office or through the Orpheum website.

VIP tickets will also be available, and they include a meet & greet with the Kratt brothers themselves, an autographed photo, and a photo opp with the brothers! 


Can't make it to the Sioux City show? Wild Kratts Live 2.0: Activating Creature Powers will be in Kansas City on May 31st, 2025 at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, so you may be able to catch that show instead.


Getting ready for Wild Kratts Live 2.0: Activating Creature Powers

All you really have to do to be ready for this great show is buy tickets and show up at the Orpheum on show day. But if you want to make the day a bit extra fun, here are a few ideas:
  • Wear a Wild Kratts shirt, a creature power vest (PBS Kids even has free printable creature power discs!), or an outfit that includes your favorite wild animals or animal prints to the show
  • Watch some (or LOTS) Wild Kratts episodes on PBS kids or online between now and the show
  • Read Wild Kratts books
  • Do some activities from the Wild Kratts website (they have tons of FREE ideas and printables!)
  • Play with Wild Kratts toys (this would be such a fun Christmas present or Easter basket to get tickets to the show plus a Wild Kratts toy to play with in the meantime!)

Little Chicago Deli is coming back to Sioux City!

Sioux City's newest eatery isn't actually new--it's just the newest iteration of a classic! Little Chicago Deli is opening in a new location just a couple doors down from the original restaurant, and they're opening on Friday May 31, 2024, for pickup orders and delivery, with the dining lobby opening later in summer 2024. Here's the info we have so far on Sioux City's new Little Chicago Deli: History of Little Chicago Deli Little Chicago Deli has been around Sioux City since 1988 as a locally owned sandwich shop, but unfortunately the previous location closed in 2017. Prior to that, I remember going there in college while I was doing an internship downtown, and I was sad to hear the original closed. But new owners, including some staff from the old Little Chicago Deli, are bringing it back in 2024! The name pays homage to local legends about Sioux City during Prohibition.
