Surprising I29 Prime Day Ebook Sale!

(affiliate links ahead!) Amazon Prime Day is July Sixteenth and Seventeenth, 2024 and to celebrate, I'm putting my new book, Surprising I29 on sale in eBook format for just 99 cents! If you have any digital rewards from choosing slower shipping on past purchases, this would be such a fun way to spend them. I'm honestly going to do that myself because I don't even have the eBook version yet myself!

99c ebook sale announcement for Surprising I29

One exciting feature of the eBook is that almost every attraction or venue should have a helpful hyperlink straight to it. I was especially happy when I figured out how to make the text not have to be the URL, so for example for the Little House on Prairie Street in Liberty, Missouri, the eBook says "listed on airbnb" but the link actually takes you specifically to their individual property listing! So I hope that is something that adds a lot of value to you as a reader next time you are traveling along I29 or researching a future I29 trip.

If you get a chance to review the book, I would definitely love that, especially if you enjoy the book (but even if you didn't enjoy it, leave some constructive criticism and maybe I can fix it for future editions.).

The book is also available in paperback and hardcover. Those versions aren't going on sale for Prime Day this year, but I think they're a great value because they're full of about 349 pages chock full of information on the best places to explore, eat, stay, and shop within 29 miles of Interstate 29, from Kansas City, Missouri to Pembina, North Dakota and everywhere in between. You can check out all of the versions of Surprising I-29 on Amazon or pick up a paperback copy in person at Sioux City Gifts if you prefer to support local businesses, which I do really think is a wonderful option.

Siouxland Fourth of July Fireworks & Fun

Fourth of July falls on a Thursday in 2024 and there is lots of patriotic fun happening. Here's where you can catch fireworks and celebrate the USA this year:

Little Chicago Deli is coming back to Sioux City!

Sioux City's newest eatery isn't actually new--it's just the newest iteration of a classic! Little Chicago Deli is opening in a new location just a couple doors down from the original restaurant, and they're opening on Friday May 31, 2024, for pickup orders and delivery, with the dining lobby opening later in summer 2024. Here's the info we have so far on Sioux City's new Little Chicago Deli: History of Little Chicago Deli Little Chicago Deli has been around Sioux City since 1988 as a locally owned sandwich shop, but unfortunately the previous location closed in 2017. Prior to that, I remember going there in college while I was doing an internship downtown, and I was sad to hear the original closed. But new owners, including some staff from the old Little Chicago Deli, are bringing it back in 2024! The name pays homage to local legends about Sioux City during Prohibition. For starters, Prohibition was widely ignored in Sioux City
