Score Great Tumblers and Coolers at Big Frig's Hidden Gem HQ Store

A good cup or cooler is hard to beat, and you may not know you can buy both from a local company! But you can score great deals on high-quality insulated tumblers and coolers in North Sioux City at the Big Frig corporate store. Here's how to keep your hot stuff hot and your cold stuff cold by visiting the Big Frig headquarters:

What is Big Frig?

Big Frig is a company based in North Sioux City, South Dakota that specializes in coolers, insulated tumblers and more. Big Frig was started by Brock Hutchinson who grew up in South Dakota and wanted to create products that would live up the extreme temperatures we experience here. And I think he has achieved that, as Big Frig is now known for high-quality coolers that keep whatever's inside hot or cold for a really long time. I own several of their tumblers and have tested them with both hot and cold drinks and can vouch for them delivering on their temperature regulation promises. And they're super cute! 

One of the other cool things they offer besides coolers and tumblers for the average consumer is specialized coolers for cattle vaccinations! How awesome is that? Big Frig also offers corporate branded items, so you'll find their tumblers with logos from some of your favorite brands all over Siouxland and the nation.  It's also a great option if you yourself have a store or brand that you'd like some custom tumblers for. And while they primarily sell online and through stores, Big Frig also has their own headquarters store that not very many people seem to know about!

Where is the Big Frig HQ Store?

The Big Frig HQ Store is at their offices at 610 Freedom Drive, Suite 2, in North Sioux City, South Dakota. It is their corporate headquarters, and it is in a big office and warehouse area, so don't worry that you're in the wrong spot when it feels like you're in an office park. You're in the right spot! Be sure to point out the murals on the side of Royal Canin pet food factory across the street out to your kids if you drive from that direction-they're super cute paintings of puppies and kittens! There is free parking in a large lot in front of the Big Frig Factory Store. 

What can you buy at the Big Frig Store?

The Big Frig store offers a wide selection of their products, available to anyone who wants to come in and shop. Not every item in every size and color is available at all times, so do call ahead if there's something specific you're hoping for.  

This includes: 

• 20 & 30 oz tumblers
• 32, 64 & 128 oz growlers
• Accessories for tumblers and growlers like lids, paracord handles, and even a coffee pour-over dripper!
• 80, 130, and 175-liter Dunes Dry Box coolers
• 10, 20, 45, 70, 75-quart Badlands coolers
• 2, 3, and 4 holster Cross Five Cattle coolers 
• Cooler accessories like baskets, dividers, drain plugs, and handles.
• Big Frig branded apparel, accessories, and stickers.

Their products are almost all available in both solid colors and with designs like Realtree camo, or logos honoring service members or promoting causes, brands, and more. 

Normally, you have to spend $100 on their website to get free shipping. So being able to go in and buy in person and accordingly have no shipping costs at all is really cool, especially if you just wanted a cup or two!

Seconds at the Big Frig Store

Besides the new merchandise, one of the cool things you can usually find at the Big Frig HQ store is their wide selection of factory "seconds" or "dent & scratch" products at a huge discount. These products are much lower priced but still super high quality, and often I can't even figure out what's wrong with them (I've bought several!) Occasionally though you can see a corporate logo that didn't print properly or something along those lines. If you don't mind what's on your cup, or if you are crafty and can jazz them up with a Cricut or Glowforge or some other fun way, these are still perfect! Once I had one that had a tiny piece internally that had gotten stuck between the layers, so if it was completely silent and you shook the cup, you could just barely hear it. It's little things like that which don't affect safety or usefulness, but don't quite meet Big Frig's high quality control standards for their full-price items. So, I definitely recommend grabbing some of their seconds anytime you are in the North Sioux area and want a new cup! And if you're really lucky, they might even have dent & scratch coolers when you come, like they did on my most recent visit.
