I'll still include teen events in my regular monthly event posts here on the blog, and in the weekend updates I share on social media, but in case you want all the teen fun in one place and without the clutter of events your teen definitely won't go to, here it is! One of my favorite local coffee shops is serving up big fun for the little ones the first Saturday of December! Here's what parents should know about author Jodi Adams, her event at Hawks Coffee, and her festive new book!   The event: Jodi Adams at Hawks Coffee On Saturday, December 3rd, 2022, author Jodi Adams will be at Hawks Coffee Shop in Sergeant Bluff, IA to read her new children's Christmas picture book, The Train Rolls on to the North Pole  and sign copies of the book. Cost to attend the event is $25, which includes a signed copy of the book and a tabletop s'mores kit for two (additional s'more kits available for purchase, as well as all of Hawks usual delicious coffee and other treats, which I highly recommend!) Adams grew up in Spencer, IA before becoming a real-life CSI, then a stay-at-home mom of two in Omaha, and now a picture book author! A talented Midwest comic book artist is heading to Siouxland to sign comic books and his new graphic novel, F.A.R.M. System! He's sending me a free copy for review purposes, and I'm excited to check it out and let you know our thoughts.  Here's what parents should know about Rich Koslowski, his books, and this special event: The Event: Rich Koslowski @ Acme Comics Rich Koslowski will be at Sioux City's Acme Comics on Pierce Street on Saturday, November 26th, 2022 (Saturday after Thanksgiving) from 11am to 3pm to sign books and meet fans. Koslowski has been an illustrator for more than 30 years, working for Archie Comics on their main titles and as one of the main illustrators of the Sonic the Hedgehog comic book series.    Acme will have copies of his new book,  F.A.R.M. System  as well as some of his Archie and Sonic titles available for purchase and Mr. Koslowski will be signing books and greeting fans. The Sonic and Archie works are appropriate for all ages
