Happy Halloween! I originally posted this list in 2020 and it is now updated with 2024 details. I'll keep updating it throughout October as I hear of more events and details.

Siouxland rocks at Halloween. We've got everything from kid-friendly trunk-or-treat events and craft projects to a possibly-haunted former asylum that will terrify even teens. And as 2024 dates and details are released for more Halloween events in Sioux City and our neighboring communities, I'll try to include them all here! So bookmark this page and check back anytime you want to know where to celebrate this season, whether you're looking for spooky or sweet! Please keep in mind that things may change especially quickly this year, so please stay flexible and patient as everyone tries to find the right balance of caution and fun.

Other Halloween Events & Trunk-or-Treats in Siouxland
Trick-or-Treat in Siouxland 2024
There are no ordinances setting or restricting trick-or-treat hours in Sioux City, Iowa; South Sioux City, Nebraska; or North Sioux City, South Dakota. Customarily trick-or-treat hours in the Sioux City area happen between 6-8pm on October 31st, which is a Thursday this year. Whether you live in one of those communities or another part of Siouxland, I also recommend following your local government on social media to make sure you have the most accurate updates!
Pumpkin Patches near Sioux City
The closest pumpkin patches to Sioux City are Scarecrow Farm in Lawton, Iowa, and MadCat Pumpkin Patch in Jefferson, SD. You can read more about my family's visit to Scarecrow Farm. Some are working farms, and some are nearly theme parks! All of them are great places to celebrate fall!
